Big work doesn't price as one line. Split the job into sub-jobs — groundworks, shell, first fix — cost each one, and generate the quote from the job itself: one document with a section per part, each carrying its own total. The sections come from the sub-jobs rather than being typed in as headings, so the figures can't drift from the work they describe.
